Product description
Minted from 1916 to 1945, the Mercury Dime has seen America through some of its most trying times, from World War I through the Great Depression and World War II. Contrary to its nickname, the Mercury Dime does not feature the Greek deity Mercury, but actually portrays Miss Liberty wearing a winged cap to represent freedom of thought. With such strong symbolism, it is no wonder this dime became an icon to the American public and helped carry them through such difficult times.

Minted in .900 pure silver, the beloved Mercury Dime is one of the most collected coins in U.S. history. Designed by the famous sculptor AdolfWeinman, many experts consider it to be the most beautiful coin America has ever produced.
