250 Years of American Independence Coin Set

250 years ago, our Founding Fathers fought a courageous war of independence against the strongest empire in the world. Thirteen fearless colonies bound together in a fight for freedom, democracy, and the right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." From the first act of rebellion in a Boston bay, to the famous "shot heard ’round the world," and on to the decisive turning point at Saratoga, we celebrate the bravery and strength of our forefathers for winning American Independence and providing us with the freedom we so cherish today.
This year, America will celebrate a huge milestone - its 250th birthday. The Semiquincentennial will mark two and a half centuries since the Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence back in 1776, launching the great American experiment.
