American Mint breaks ground on expanded facility in Mechanicsburg


Mechanicsburg, PA – American Mint, LLC, one of the nation's leading providers of collectible coins, knives, and die-cast replicas, will officially break ground on its new 50,000 square foot warehouse and office facility in Mechanicsburg on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, according to President Kevin Sacher.

The firm, which just passed its one millionth customer mark in the United States, has been operating in its current facility since 1998 and employs about 70 people.

“We had a banner year in 2010," Sacher said. "We shipped more than 500,000 orders and grew our workforce 40%, creating 19 new jobs. We like the quality workforce here in central Pennsylvania," he added, "and we will be adding more jobs as we settle into the new facility."

Special guests, including Governor and Mrs. Corbett have been invited to the ground-breaking event at 3:30pm, which will be held at 5051 Louise Drive in Mechanicsburg.
