Product description
Beginning in 2010, the U.S. Mint is issuing new quarters with designs honoring national parks and other national sites. Each year, five new designs depicting one national site from each state and U.S. territory will be released. The quarters will be issued in the order in which the honored location was first established as a national site. The first coin in the historic series honors the Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas which was designated a National Reserve in 1832.

Established from Hot Springs Reservation, Hot Springs National Park is located in central Arkansas adjacent to the city of Hot Springs. The hot springs flow from the western slope of Hot Springs Mountain, a part of the Ouachhita Mountain range. People have used the hot spring water in therapeutic baths for more than two hundred years to treat rheumatism and other ailments.

To celebrate the newest American quarter series, AMERICAN MINT has created an exclusive masterpiece: the America the Beautiful Commemorative Coin Set. This limited edition set features a 24k gold-layered edition of the first coin in the new quarter series – the Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas Quarter – and an AMERICAN MINT EXCLUSIVE Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas commemorative coin layered in 24k gold. This remarkable set is strictly limited to only 9,999 complete collections worldwide. It includes facts about the Hot Springs National Park and comes encased in a transparent acrylic shell to protect and preserve it for generations to come.
